Cloud has been the buzzword of choice in the IT industry for the past decade or so. In that time, conversations on cloud computing invariably leant towards cost, security, data sovereignty, choosing the right supplier and selecting the right cloud computing model. A key part of this latter topic was the comparison between cloud and colocation, as well as private versus public cloud. (…) To understand the attitudes toward cloud computing as a whole, Pulsant commissioned an independent customer satisfaction improvement consultancy, Customer Satisfaction UK, to gauge the expectations and opinions of its customers and prospects. The survey, conducted in October 2015 took the form of in-depth telephone interviews with over 200 UK-based IT decision makers and C-level executives across public and private sector organisations of all sizes and different industries.
